Food

Many of Zimbabwe cuisine has been influenced by British culture. The national dish is sadza. Sadza is made with cornmeal and usually eaten with a vegetable stew or meat. Popular meats include gazelle, antelope, and even crocodile tail. Christmas is celebrated often in Zimbabwe, but the roast may be an ox, goat, or even ostrich. When eating in Zimbabwe, there are certain customs. Often, a dish of water will be placed on the table to wash hands before starting a meal. It is also common to eat dinner sitting on the floor rather than at a table.
